
The squad members let the participants ride at their own level and encourage progression. Parents must stay on site if their child is under 12įreestyle Now coaching workshops are fun, informative and motivational.Please remember to bring some water and wear sunscreen.Coaching workshops are not suitable for 3 wheeled plastic scooters, street bicycles or mountain bikes - BMX bikes and 2 wheel scooters only!.Participants under the age of 6 will be taken on their ability to understand and follow instructions and to control their apparatus. Our facilitators are not able to make major repairs to participants equipment during the session. Participants with defective equipment may not be able to participate. Our instructors relay this safety message to our participants and reiterate the importance of helmets and how they can minimize injuries.Īll participants would need their own equipment and would also be required to wear a helmet and closed in shoes. Our instructors speak the participant’s language and speak on their level. By using their own skill base as a stepping stone we are able to help them advance. It is important to not only just focus on skill building but confidence as well. Skills can be taught but confidence cannot. Our facilitators analyze the participant's skill level and work from that base and assist with confidence building. The workshop sessions would be open to any participant over the age of 6.įreestyle Now squad members would be present to offer participants technical advice, trick tips, skill development and skatepark etiquette. Mini challenges and fun skatepark games are the main focus. It is an open session in relation to the coaching side. There is no groups allocated to Freestyle Now coaches in this session. Participants can come and go as they please.

The session will be open to any participants in scooter and BMX who would like to increase their skill level and get advice on tricks.
